Counting Those Hertz – DIY Frequency Counter
Counting those hertz just got a lot easier! 😊 I’ve just built a small frequency counter for the shack, and it’s already proving to be a handy little tool.
A frequency counter is essential for checking oscillators, transmitters, and signal generators, ensuring everything is operating precisely on frequency. My build is based on a simple microcontroller and a high-accuracy crystal oscillator, allowing it to measure signals up to [insert max frequency] MHz with good precision.
It’s been a fun project, and I might look into adding a digital display or even RF input protection to make it more versatile.
Anyone else using a homemade frequency counter? Let me know what features you’ve added!
